Hello,
My name is Sylvester and I am currently an undergraduate at Harvard University. I will be entering my second year there and my first year was a success, as I maintained a 4.0 GPA. I plan to major in mathematics and economics during my tenure there. I graduated valedictorian from Mountain View High School in Stafford County, VA. I was very involved in high school, as I was the captain of my swim team and cross country for 2 years, head tutor for National Honor Society and Mu Alpha Theta, and a piano accompanist for our chorus groups. I play three instruments, the piano, the guitar, and the violin. I am also a sunday school teacher and enjoy talking to people about religion, politics, philosophy, virtually anything. I'm a very nice, laid-back individual with a lot of patience. I am versatile and can adapt to teaching any style depending on my pupil. I have extensive tutoring/teaching experience as I privately tutor in Cambridge, MA for high school students and was hired as an SAT teacher for Cambridge Charter School. Overall, I believe tutoring is a mutually beneficial experience and I hope I can help others to the best of my ability. |
