About Mitzi:

Hello. My name is Mitzi and I just finished my second year at San Diego State University. I am a biology major, and psychology minor and love to educate others to the best of my abilities. I am a very patient person and I'm willing to work with you the best way possible until you understand the material. I am a very well rounded and educated person in various areas. I've taken a few rigorous classes at my university that I feel has helped me prepare to tutor others. I have already taken two chemistry labs and one organic chemistry lab that has helped me gain a better understanding of chemistry. If you're having trouble in chemistry I'll be able to break it down in a way that you'll be able to understand it. Also, I have taken 2 biology lab courses, one in cellular and molecular biology, and one in organismal biology. Both labs has helped me understand the concepts to a point of being able to teach others the elements and aspects of that subject. Although I'm a science major, I have a great interest in photography and art. I shoot often and am very familiar with photoshop. I have good knowledge about the different aspects of photography and will be willing to shoot with you to give you a hands on approach. =) In addition, I have a deep passion for writing. Just recently I scored a perfect score on my Word Proficiency Assessment (WPA). At my school, once you become a junior or obtain 60 units you have to take this assessment which consists of an essay. Your score depends on weather or not you have to take a writing class. I love to write and would be willing to help you write as well by using my different exercises in teaching. Overall my main goal is not only to teach you the important aspects of the subject you need help in but to hopefully spark an interest for what you're learning. I've tutored my younger brother my whole life and tutored fellow classmates in high school as well as college so I've been able to develop different tactics that work for different people. I understand that not everybody is the same so therefore not everyone learns the same way. No matter what it takes, I do believe that everyone is capable of excelling in a subject. This is what I hope to help you do. I'm a very kind person and I'm open to all subjects and all ages. =)
