About Araceli:

I am a native Spanish speaker with a Spanish Language and Literature BA from UCBerkeley. I have been Editor-in-Chief and contributor for two bilingual creative writing publications, La Llorona and Valentina. The first was a student publication. Valentina is one I published independently. I also have a MA degree in International Education from the George Washington University. I have studied and worked abroad in Western Europe, Latin America, Southeast Asia, and South Africa. I tutored middle school ESL students thru a collaboration with the Contra Costa College and a Bay Area non-profit called META. I like to use teaching methods that empower students to take control of their own learning. Currently, I am a researcher for a consulting firm in Washington DC, where I develop and coordinate academic and social development programs for a government agency.
