About Carmella:

Thank you for taking the time to inquire more about myself and my background. For starters, I received my medical degree from Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Jersey in 2006. During my medical school training I also took MBA coursework at Rutgers. Upon graduation I matched into a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation residency at Harvard. During my preliminary internal medicine year I had a change in career plans. Currently I am now working towards matching into an orthopaedic surgery residency. I recently moved to the Chicago area and will be doing clinical and bench research at Rush University Hospital. As far as my tutoring/teaching experience goes, I initially began tutoring collegiate athletes during my senior year of college. I focused on the following subjects: biology, biochemistry, chemistry, and physics. During my medical school career I taught biochemistry to incoming first year medical students. In addition, I taught NCLEX microbiology to nursing students as a part-time position while I obtained my MBA. I recognize how difficult some of the science subjects can be, and I enjoy being able to help students realize their goals. I am very laid back and willing to alter my teaching methods to suit each unique situation/individual. I look forward to possibly working with you....BEST OF LUCK!
