So I guess here's my chance to introduce myself. As you can tell my name is Donovan and I'm a Physics Major at Kutztown University. I have experience tutoring students at Kutztown University, and I work at the Da Vinci Science Center supervising employees and teaching visitors about exhibits.
As a tutor, I ask whom I'm tutoring what the main issue, break down the subject into it's most basic ideas and make them easier to understand, let the student see if they can understand it better, and if not, explain in better detail for them to understand. I had a professor at Kutztown whose teaching method encouraged a more fluid and deeper understanding of the subject, so that memorization was nice, but not necessary.
