About Heather:

I have been a student at the University of New Mexico for the past four years. I just graduated with my Bachelor's of Science in Psychology, with a minor in Anthropology. I am passionate about learning and love to teach what I am knowledgeable in. Although I have modest experience teaching or tutoring, I coached competitive cheer leading from ages 4-19 for over two years. I have experience training within this age range in a manner that will both test your limits while offering a comfortable, relaxed environment. I am capable of explaining subject matter thoroughly and comprehensively until you are comfortable in your understanding of the material. I push people to do their best, but in a sensitive fashion. I believe in inspiring individuals to help them reach their fullest potential. With my background in psychology, I have learned studying techniques that will enhance your capability of learning and memorizing necessary material. I believe that there is one aspect that students need to learn material that they are weak in: confidence. By implementing operative conditioning, I will enable students to build their confidence and realize that learning is like anything else - it takes time and practice. However, with the right tools, any student is capable of doing well in any subject. I will help every student to the best of my ability so that they may reach their goals to the best of their ability.
