Hello, My name is Tawauna. I have a Bachelors and Masters in the area of Special Education. I have been an educator for 9 years. During this time, I have taught grades K-3. I have also tutored students in grades 5,6, 8, and 9. I hold the philosophy that all students can learn, if given the tools and assistance they need to succeed. I love working with students and feel my job is not complete unless I am able to assist my students in making growth. When it comes to students, I believe that some children just need extra time and assistance to help them reach their goals and those that have been set for them. As an educator of 9 years, I have worked with students in the areas of math, reading, and written language( basic Skills). I currently hold both a Bachelors and Masters in the area of Special Education.I have first hand experience with working with students diagnosed as having the following DisAbiltities: Developmental Delays, Mild Intellectual Functioning, Moderate Intellectual Functioning, Autism, Learning DisaAbilities, Other Health Impairment, Traumatic Brain Injuries, and Behavioral Emotional DisAbilities. I am also currently working on a Doctorate in Education, as well. Ihope this qualities will deem my competent in being certified to teach basic skills to grades K-6.
