Russian My name is Olga and I am a native speaker of Russian. In my opinion, speaking the language doesn't mean being able to teach it. As a professional philologist and linguist I will be able to explain the structure of my native tongue on the phonological, morphological, syntactic, and discourse levels. I will be able to demonstrate the difference in the articulation of sounds and explain the rules of grammar. Compared to English, for example, Russian is a highly inflectional language: prefixes and suffixes change meaning of words and show the agreement of words in sentences. Also, there are a lot of cultural differences in the use of these two languages and any learner should be aware of that to be understood while communicating in the language with its native speakers. I love my language and I enjoy studying it. I had an experience working as a Russian-English Translator in Russia and as a Russian Specialist here in the United States. I hold a Master's degree in Linguistics from San Jose State University, California. I am inviting you to speak Russian and learn about the culture of the country where I was born and raised.
