As a moderate, to conservative, enthusiastic individual, who was successfully home schooled, I am open to a variety of student types. Parents of pre-college students should be pleased to help as they wish, but also can be assured that I am a responsible, and easy to get along with teacher, and tutor. My strengths in government, and history, also include ability to coach communications, speech, and presentation preparation. Liberals, moderates, and conservatives, will often be surprised, that my varied, and extensive knowledge, is impressive, but not condescending. Rather, I believe that all students whether elementary, secondary, or collegiate, can accomplish more than they expect.

I ran seriously, from about the age of 25 until my late 30's, from 10 to 15 miles a week at first, eventually to 50 to 70 miles a week.
I ran and finished the Boston Marathon, several times; once in 3 hours, and 20 minutes.
