Hello!
My name is Supriya. I have just completed my sophomore year at Worcester Polytechnic Institute where I am pursuing a degree in biochemistry with a minor psychology. I am a warm, passionate, intelligent person who is excited to work with you!
For high school, I attended Acton-Boxborough Regional High School and St. Mark's School in Southborough.
For any students looking at APs, I took the chemistry, biology, and calculus ab APs, getting a 5 in each.
I enjoy tutoring and getting to know other students of all ages. In high school, I volunteered for a tutoring program in Boston where we worked with disadvantaged kids in an after school program.
I love working together with people to take both of our knowledge to a new level.
While it is important to work through specific problems, I find it is also necessary to understand the underlying themes in whatever subject you are learning. This way, not only do you understand what you are currently learning, you can also apply this knowledge to future studies.
I have some firsthand knowledge and experience of the difficulties some students can have in the classroom when it comes to attention. I try to be engaging as I teach, using examples, models, and everyday problems or materials that may relate to the subject. I can also pass on some of the knowledge that has been given to me on how to deal with such problems as difficulties taking notes in class or while reading.
