I have an eclectic background. I was an English major in college with a minor in Bible; got a teaching certificate in Secondary Education, with an emphasis on English and Social Studies. I subbed for two years; then went into publishing as a an editor of youth curriculum. I did that for 12 years before sensing a call to cross-cultural ministry. I lived in Austria for 5 years, working among refugees from the Balkans, the Middle-East and Africa. I speak fluent German and a little bit of Farsi-Dari, which I learned through a stint in Afghanistan. I have a thorough knowledge of the Bible and Christian theology, but am also quite knowledgeable about Islam and Judaism. In fact, I have been teaching World Religions at the Community College level for the past three years.
My favorite subjects to teach, talk about and learn about are: religion, history, literature and the arts.
