It can be frustrating trying to learn a subject, feeling like you are getting nowhere. Trust me, i know. Its hard, and sometimes, all kids need is a little bit of help...and maybe a little bit of support as well. I know how frustrating learning can be at times, and that's why tutoring has become such a passion for me! I love being able to help kids get past that stage of frustration and help them reach a sense of clarity...i also love being able to do all this learning the fun way.
A little bit about me. First of all, i am anything but a quiet or boring tutor. My goal in life is to laugh often, and always make sure I am having a good time, as well as those around me. I currently am a student at Arizona State University. I was an elementary education major for a while, just because I enjoy teaching so much, but I finally found my passion in the Anthropology department, and that is now my new major. I went to Saguaro High School, graduated with honors, and even managed to pull over a few Advanced Placement and dual enrollment courses to ASU with me. Lucky for me, all that hard work paid off, and I am currently a junior at ASU, even though I have only been there a year.
Since i really do love to teach, i have helped my sister and most of my friends with their work all throughout high school. Even in college, I am constantly being asked to read my friends' papers for them. My comments can be a little tough sometimes, but it is best to correct all of the mistakes and get a great grade instead of just settling for mediocrity. I believe in having a lot of fun, and i dont know about anyone else, but there is always candy involved when i study, learn, or have to work really hard :) |
