About Jesse:

I have worked with students from 5 to 16 years old for a decade and have a excellent ability to communicate with young people. I am a experienced tutor and teacher who is able to educate from one student to over 100 students in a packed auditorium. Presently, I teach courses in San Francisco State in the Ethnic Studies department and will attend UCB's graduate school department next year. I am looking to tutor interested students this summer. My stronger lesson plans are focused around better study habits, writing, philosophy, sociology, history (in particular the histories of ethnic groups), and test taking. I can teach any subject, but feel more comfortable in areas related to social sciences and English. I have taught several ESL courses as well. I speak Spanish fairly well and my specialization is in Latino/Hispanic history and culture.
