elementary (k-6th) I taught for 7 years foreign languages in elementary school which requires training in a foreign language, but also in-depth knowledge of the elementary school curriculum, students characteristics, and methodologies of teaching the basic subjects. I took at Chicago State University classes in the College of Education; in particular: Curriculum and Instruction and Teaching Reading in Elementary School. In addition to formal training and classroom experience, I volunteered in my neighborhood elementary school as an Art Volunteer in the Classroom (AVIC) and a Junior Great Books leader. ESL/ESOL I have extensive experience teaching ESL to French speakers as well as giving them insights into U.S. culture and cross-cultural communication. As a foreign language teacher, I received formal training in Methodologies of Teaching a Second Language (a course which I also teach at the college level). I have also developed and I am knowledgeable about technology tools for learning a second language which will make your experience enjoyable and develop communication, listening comprehension, reading, and writing in English and enhance your cultural competence.
