About
Brooke: |
|
I have been interested in French language, literature and culture since I was young. I had just finished working as English Language Assistant for the French government and in this summer, I will be starting the Master of Arts in Teaching and Credential program at the University of California, Irvine. In the future, I plan to earn another Master’s degree in French Language and Literature.
I bring to this position characteristics and qualifications you need in a tutor:
Adaptability: I had to adapt to a living in a new country and to learn to how to teach English.
Creativity: I learned quickly how to devise creative teaching methods that facilitated fun learning for middle, high school and adult learners.
Experience: I have been tutoring my whole life. In high school, I volunteered to help immigrants study for the civics and citizenship exam. In college, I held various leadership and volunteer positions that involved working with youth. But now, I want to concentrate on the subject that I love: French.
Yes, I can get gooey and romantic with all things French and you might despise conjugating verbs more than anything, but once you start doing well in it and conversing in French, you'll start to love it, too.
I hope to hear from you, francophone.
Cheers,
Brooke
