About Sharon

Hi I'm Sharon and I've been a Special Ed teacher for sometime now. I love working with kids. The ultimate reward for me is when I see my students progress and maximize their full potential. I have been teaching for a while now and my experience has allowed me to learn how to work with children with various disabilities ranging from mild autism, learning disabled even children with selective mutism. I have worked with students from k-7th grade. I create highly individualized tasks for my students and I believe that confidence built from continued successes opens up wide doors for progress. I use various teaching strategies for different academic subjects. I also practice multi-sensory activities for a more enhanced learning experience. Overall I believe that learning should be both fun and relevant.
