elementary (k-6th) I am an Illinois certified teacher for elementary education k-9 certificate type 03. I was a Science teacher for grades k-4 this past year. I also tutored reading students in kindergarten and third grades. This coming year I will be a fourth grade teacher. ESL/ESOL I am a certified Illinois elementary teacher. I am bilingual English/Spanish. My husband is from Mexico and I am aware of many approaches to use that help ESL students comprehend more. flute I started playing the flute when I was in 5th grade. I played it as first chair all through grade school. I went to Metamora High School, which had an award winning band at the time. I was 2nd chair as a freshman with twenty eight flute players. I graduated from high school in 1987 and have played since 1980. general music I played the flute starting in 1980. I was in chorus and band for all of my grade school and high school years. We had to read music and in high school I took a few music theory and history classes. theatre I was in many plays when I was in grade school. I was in musicals, madrigals, etc...in high school. I moved to California in 1987 after high school and went on commercial and small parts for kids that I was a nanny for. voice (music) I was in chorus since 1980 and continued to sing throughout high school. I moved to California in 1987 and worked at The Singing Store where I was a singing salesperson for karaoke machines. I ran karaoke machines at bars and clubs in California and Illinois.
