Belief is fundamental, coupled with practicality, when accomplishing any meaningful task. Improving oneself in education is such a task, and I enjoy empowering my students with the belief that they "can," while using practical approaches in my teaching style. Being aware that people learn differently, I engage in various teaching styles: auditory, visual, manipulative, etc.
My teaching experience involves various curriculum and age groups. I have substituted with San Antonio ISD for 4yrs., primarily in elementary, but have had secondary exposure (i.e. 11th grade chemistry instruction for 2/12 mos.). Currently, I am an instructional assistant in an early childhood program, in S.A.I.S.D., and now a certified teacher, EC-4. |
