I am 2008's recipient of the Eugene Slattery Scholarship Award granted by the Mathematics Department of Pierce College. I intend to transfer to CSUN with a major of Computer Science. I have maintained a GPA of 4.0 in all of my math/CS courses. I am capable of competently tutoring the following mathematics courses: pre-algebra, beginning/intermediate/advanced algebra, trigonometry, pre-calculus, and both parts of single-variable calculus.   I am a current Computer Science major who has maintained a 4.0 GPA in all CS classes so far (including intro C++ and object-oriented C++). I feel quite capable of assisting those who are beginning to learn C++, even if it is their first programming language. Not only am I able to aid in the design of narrowly-defined algorithms and overall modular program structure (as well as help deal with pesky compiler errors), but I can also provide a conceptual understanding of the various syntax one encounters as it relates to the physical hardware of the computer (particularly in relation to allocation/access of memory). As much as I enjoy helping others program, please note that I will not write your assignments for you.
