About Barbara:

Hello. I am pleased you chose to visit my site. As a 20+ year teacher, I have extensive experience teaching and tutoring adults and children. I have been an Associate Professor of Telecommunications, Electronics and Computer Technology, as well as Biomedical Equipment Technology. The classes I have taught include anatomy and physiology, college math, all levels of analog electronics (read Physics) and digital design, computer A+ level certification hardware and operating systems, Microsoft Office, and Programmable Logic Controllers. I have tutored school-age students in GED preparation, SAT prep, reading, math, chemistry and biology. I have also taught cello. Because I have a true belief in individual style, I tutor according to the needs of each student. I have taught fractions by baking, reading comprehension by utilizing magazines and "read and question" techniques... I also strongly believe in humor, personally and as a way to ease the strain of learning for some people. I think my overall philosophy is: Learning shouldn't have to hurt.
