Hi, my name is Leslie. I am a college teacher and part-time tutor in the NYC metropolitan area. I graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a degree in political science. I have experience preparing students to achieve academic excellence in the areas of American history, government and politics, social studies, law, English, literature, homework and study skills, test prep (incl. NYS Regents exams), writing, reading, and research. I have also tutored students on a one-to-one basis in ESL and GED preparation. I believe that everyone learns in a unique way. Part of my task is find the way that you learn best, and give you the tools so that you can master the subject material, but also to learn how to become your own teacher --so you can teach yourself.
