I was home schooled K-12 and finished high school at Anne Arundel CC. Graduated AACC with an AA in General Studies and a GPA of 3.7.
Attended U. of MD. and received a BA in Criminal Justice with a GPA of 3.85. Graduated both institutions with academic honors.
Attended New Saint Andrews College for two years and had a cumulative GPA of 3.29. New Saint Andrews offers a Classical Christian education roughly similar to that of St. John's. I took rhetoric, Greek, history, Latin, theology, and some science at NSA. I also wrote numerous term papers and speeches, and our written work was held to a very high standard. I also read through a stack of books almost as tall as me during my first year there, so reading comprehension is no problem.
My only tutoring experience is helping my four younger siblings with their work, but New Saint Andrews consciously teaches its students to pass on their love of learning.
I want to see kids come to love learning for its own sake, instead of just trying to pass the next test. |
