I have many teaching experiences from assisting my siblings with their homework and from work experiences. Since I was a high school student I have started tutoring in after school program for elementary students. In recent years, I have tutored calculus and organic chemistry to college underclassmen. I was also a teacher's assistant in many chemistry labs (biochemistry, nursing organic chemistry I, and organic chemistry II, where had to demonstrate lab techniques and assist with the concepts of the lab.
In addition to my teaching experience, have taken biology, chemistry and physics courses for my degree in biochemistry and my minor in physics. Some of the biology classes that I have taken was neurobiology, immunology, biochemistry, molecular biology, and genetics. For chemistry, I have taken organic I and II, quantum mechanics, quantitative analysis, spectroscopy, and physical chemistry.
From these experiences, I have learned to simply the main concepts and provide many different examples. For problem solving in chemistry and math, I give step by step instructions on how to solve the problem. |
