GERMAN:
I lived many years in Austria. At first, like every other foreigner, I went to German Courses (Deutschkursen)and it was there that I learned German grammar, something that most native speakers have no idea how it really functions because they were simply speaking German from the first day!
This has given me the chance to learn German from the Basics up to the Advanced. That's why I can understand better than any other native speaker what my students' weaknesses could be and what they might not quite understand about German. Because once I was a student too and there has even been times when my native German teachers could not exactly explain a grammar rule to me and I had to find it out myself by reading grammar books.
But saying all that should not make you think that I can't speak as fluent and as natural as a native speaker. I only went to German Course for 6 months. After that I went to High School again, to German High School. Everyone knows that going to school on a daily basis makes you familiar with the slang and colloquial expressions of that languages and everyday conversations. I can't say that it improved my pronunciation because I was already speaking like a native speaker after only 6 months of stay that nobody believed me in school that I had been there in Austria for only 6 months.
I don't want to brag but I must admit that I'm talented in learning Languages.
Now I'm going to college here in the States and if you have decided to learn German no matter for a trip to Austria, Germany or Switzerland or you are just interested in learning another language, I guarantee you will learn it in the most efficient and easiest way because you're not only going to have a good tutor but also a former student, who understands your concerns better than anyone else and you can have his experience and feedback at your side 24/7,
just like a good friend!
MATH:
My major in High School was Math and Physics and that's how I got so good at math.
I always loved Math and was the one who got the best scores in our class. Fortunately this routine has not ended in College. I never need to take algebra in College because I already knew all the stuff. All I took was my College's
placement test and that was enough to place me directly into calculus class. Most of my test scores were 100's. Although I know I'm good at Math, I would never get all that 100's without solving multiple homework questions. And that's what is critical about math. No matter how good you know all the rules, it's the constant practice that make all those formulas and rules get stuck into your brain for almost ever.So I'll be glad to teach you all those methods and procedures in solving problems and to explain everything even the simplest things until you understand them fully. I also know a lot of Math tricks which makes it a lot of fun to find the answer faster than any one else.
After all that's why I was always seen as the second Math teacher in our class. The only difference: I was their favorite one!
