About Priya:

Hello my name is Priya. I just received my masters in secondary education from DePaul University. I am certified to teach English and completed my student teaching at Waubonsie Valley High School in Aurora. I am experienced in preparing students for the ACT and teach them writing reading techniques that will help any student higher their scores. In addition to my masters I also have a B.A in English from DePaul University and a minor in Creative and Writing and Religion. I have over five years of experience in teaching ESL of which two of them were spent overseas. In 2002 I taught English in Alexandria, Egypt to fifth and eighth graders for one year. I then went to Bombay, India for another year and taught English to children in the slums. Upon returning to the United States, I moved to New York City where I taught fisrt grade at a private school in Queens, where the population was predominantly Indian, Pakistani and Guianese. I love to learn on my own and have a great love of learning and reading literature, history and religion.
