I graduated from California State University of San Marcos in December of 2007. Since then I have worked as a substitute teacher and an SES tutor for students in San Diego and Escondido, California. I am currently attending Western Governors University (an online school with its offices located in Salt Lake City, Utah) to obtain my multiple subject teaching credential.

My goal is to eventually immigrate to New Zealand, where I studied and lived for approximately twenty months. My goal is to teach elementary school there.   I have been a substitute teacher with Vista Unified School District for approximately 1.5 years. The majority of the students in this district speak English as a non-native language. I have also recently begun a volunteer ministry with my church whereby I and others are helping Hispanic adults to improve their written and spoken English. I would estimate that fifty to seventy-five percent of my past SES students were Hispanic and were learning English as a second or even a third language.

  I have designed two current websites-- http://www.media-visioon.co.nz and http://www.mrmarkterry.com-- the latter of which is my professional teaching web site. To design my websites I use Dreamweaver and Flash. I also work extensively with Photoshop, video editing and DVD creation. Along with my bachelors degree in liberal studies I was also granted a minor in technology and The Arts. On numerous occasions I have assisted family, friends and colleagues with general computer assistance.
