I have been teaching high school mathematics at Marblehead High School for five years. Before that I spent five years teaching computers to grades K through 9. I combine this experience by using technology while teaching math. For example I use a Smartboard and graphing calculators in my classroom every school day. My students not only learn precalculus, algebra and geometry but they also learn to use technology as a tool to better visualize and explore complex math topics.
I have a bachelor of science degree in Mathematics with a minor in computer science from Salem State College. I have a Massachusett's certification to teach mathematics 9-12. I am currently working toward a Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) at Salem State College.
While teaching high school full time during the school year I also tutor after school 2-6 hours per week. This year, in addition to teaching math I taught a Robotics course for the science department.
