Hello Everyone!

I am an ESL teacher with several years of experience in the classroom. I have worked in the United States and abroad, with students of all ages and levels. My tutoring style is naturally student-centered, with an initial analysis of student needs followed by lessons that focus on the student's individual problem areas and academic goals.

I am fluent in Russian from my experience as a linguist in the US Navy. I was then trained in Anthropology and Teaching ESL at Sacramento State and in the Czech Republic.

  I have taught ESL in the United States and abroad. I completed a TEFL course in Prague, Czech Repbublic and taught for an academic year in Estonia. Today I teach Englsh and ESL to private students and via webcam to students in Asia. I minored in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages at CSUS and next semester I will begin the TESOL graduate program there. I speak Russian fluently, but I am also well versed in the communicative approach to language teaching, and I have successfully taught students of diverse linguistic backgrounds.
