I have been involved in education for more than nine years. I have spent the last nine years as a middle school science and language arts teacher, and eight years as an adjunct instructor with Gwinnett Technical College teaching math and English. Currently, I am teaching all of my math courses at the college online using a program called MyMathLab.
I plan to start working on my PhD in education soon, and would like to have it completed within the next four to five years. My future goals also include getting involved more with one on one tutoring.
I don’t believe my teaching style can defined as one specific type because not all students learn the same way. Therefore, my teaching style has to be flexible and able to adapt to the learner. Many students get lost in the mix in a large classroom setting because they don’t learn like most of the students around them. As a tutor, it is my job to find out how each student learns best and exploit that method to its greatest benefit.
