Hello, my name is Leif (Leif is my middle name). I am a Senior at St. Olaf College in Minnesota, but I am home in Seattle for the summer.
At St. Olaf I am a Math and Physics Major, as well as a Captain of the Varsity Swimming and Diving team. I am also a National Merit Scholar. I am hard working and persistent in any task I undertake. Once I set a goal, I work until it is achieved. In addition to my academic and swimming experience, I have 4 years experience in the public pool system as a swim lesson instructor and swim team coach. I also have two years of experience coaching middle school aged soccer, a sport I played through high school. Finally, as a collegiate student athlete, I have developed strong study habits and techniques which help me to meet the demands of completing a double major while participating in a varsity sport.
I have a firm belief in the importance of education in any field of study, whether it be academic, athletic, or some activity. I look forward to passing on my knowledge and experience for the benefit of others, and one day becoming the great teacher that many of my peers claim I will become. |
