About Stephanie:

I have a BA in English from the University of Illinois at Springfield (UIS) and graduated cum laude in 2006. While there, I also took several creative writing classes, including an applied study term in creative writing, and was the English Department's first Student Creative Writer in Residence. I've submitted children's stories to major publishing companies (nothing in the works yet, but got a handwritten rejection letter from one editor, which was a lot of fun!), short stories to literary journals, and have had two of my flash fiction stories (under 500 words) published in an online lit journal. I currently work as a research intern and am attending UIS as a MA student in Liberal and Integrative Studies with a focus on environmental studies, communication, and stewardship. I only have a little tutoring experience, but I'm a good writer, proof-reader, and editor.
