About David:

I am a mature educator who has studied in three countries. I attended High School in Mexico City and at a leading prep school here in the USA. I attended college in Valencia, Spain and the USA. While my degrees are in Spanish and Linguistics, I also took many courses in history, classics, math and the social sciences. I have taught both Spanish and Humanities at the college level. During my college career, I tutored a number of people, from the children of my professors to fellow graduate students in other areas. I have also taught 4th grade and High School. I have two grade school children who are at the top of their classes, and have volunteered for five different activities this year alone at their school. While we lived in Charleston, SC I was also a youth soccer and baseball coach certified with the National Alliance for Youth Sports. I believe that my strongest point is teaching and demanding the student's taking responsibility for his/her own progress. Even at the earliest age the student must be made aware of this skill, for it is a learned skill. It is also a skill that absolutely must be learned if the student expects to do well in any field whatever. I look forward to helping your child in his or her studies and with his or her study habits, and fully believe that I shall do this both to your and my satisfaction.
