I have been a tutor for twenty years. I started in college as an after-school volunteer working with the Boys and Girls Club. My first paid tutoring job was for a first-grader at a bilingual school. I was in graduate school and needed extra money, but the fulfillment I received from the job was very rewarding. That is why I love tutoring. It is a chance for me to help a student more intimately understand her environment.
I love learning (I must since I endured 8 years of graduate school and then decide I want to TEACH for a living!) I like nothing more than to help make learning fun for someone else. If I can't make it fun for you, at least I hope I can get you through with minimal pain and that you find you actually gained something worthwhile in the process.
