To Whom It May Concern:
My name is Kelly Eastmead, and I am a teaching professional. I taught tenth-grade English at Cordova High School during the 2004-2006 school years. Additionally, I taught in the private sector at the middle-school level, grades 6-8. This past year I made the choice to take time off from teaching in order to focus on obtaining my MAT in secondary English, which I will complete in May of this year. I am very anxious to begin teaching again. The years that I taught were extremely rewarding and fulfilling. My students exhibited diversities in learning styles, backgrounds, cultures, and interests. I have taught English and related disciplines to students at many levels, including, standard, honors and advanced placement. Additionally, I was an active club sponsor and peer mediator. It has been and will always be my utmost goal to tailor my teaching methods to best meet the needs of all of my learners in order to ensure the highest level of success for each child.
When I began my teaching career, my passion for English propelled me to initiate and nurture the same love of literature and writing in young people. However, although the aforementioned mantra remains in tact, another overarching mission evolved––to devote myself to the betterment of childrens lives using all of the knowledge, experience, skills and devotion that I have to offer. Two of the greatest rewards that I have received thus far in my teaching career are those of seeing the successes of my students, and secondly, having the wonderful gift of lifelong learning for myself.
Sincerely,
Kelly
