I have been teaching English for 28 years in San Antonio, Texas, almost all at college level. I taught at the University of Texas at San Antonio, at St. Phillip's College, and at Palo Alto College. At Palo Alto College I was tenured faculty and, for two years, I was Chair of the English Department. I am still teaching English at college level at San Antonio College, teaching three sections a semester of Freshman Composition I and II. I'm a publshed writer, with three collections of short fiction published . I spent a year studying Japanese at the Army Language School in Monterey, California, subsequently spending two years in Japan as an interpreter/translator.
