About Gina:

I've always been a good student who enjoyed school and learning. My degree is in Mass Communication which encompassed learning public and interpersonal communication skills, writing, and media. I come from a long line of teachers. They encouraged my love of learning as well as helping others. I also love to travel. When the opportunity presented itself for me to travel and help students, I didn't hesitate to pack my bags and travel half way around the world to Taipei Taiwan to help students learn English, my native language. I enjoyed every minute of my two and a half years there meeting new people, learning a new language and watching my students progress from a few words in English to whole paragraphs! I took great pleasure in watching them learn and grow. When I returned to the states I continued teaching ESL to students who came to learn English. I love to share my knowledge and help others learn something new. My teaching style is relaxed. I like to plan activities to keep my students interested in the subject matter. I believe learning doesn't have to be boring. You learn more when you're engaged and interested. I really do learn something new every day without even trying. Just be open to life and it's possibilities. I would hope to encourage others to do the same.

Hello, I spent two and a half of the best years of my life teaching ESL in Taiwan. I really enjoyed it. I continued teaching in Hawaii for two years. I also work online teaching students from Beijing. I have taught preschool age to adults. I enjoy helping my students learn and improve. I am a student of languages myself. I can speak some Spanish and Mandarin and I'm in the process of learning more so I understand what it's like to learn a different language. I hope to bring patience, understanding and hopefully a little fun to the learning experience.
