About Lisa:

I recently graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a Bachelor's of Arts degree. I majored in Spanish and also obtained certificates in Global Cultures and European Studies. During my four years in college I taught Spanish to elementary, middle, and high school students at local community centers. I also studied abroad last spring in Granada, Spain. For four months I lived with a Spanish family, took classes and traveled to more than ten cities! My teaching style varies depending on the preferences of each individual student. In the past I've used a combination of worksheets, flashcards and games to build students' vocabulary and understanding of grammatical structure. I also enjoy incorporating the use of texts into lessons, as I feel reading and listening to stories in a foreign language is crucial to understanding.
