proofreading As one can easily understand, the first draft of a paper is never the best draft; an essay/paper/research paper needs to be read and reread multiple times to search for any errors. I have been writing research papers for four years now, as well as writing essays my entire scholastic career. Therefore, I have quite a bit of experience writing sound and strong papers, and am often catching other faults in many different written texts because I am so used to doing that for myself. I have immense attention to detail, and have a thorough understanding of sentence structure, grammar, spelling, and word choice. I am well respected in my proof reading abilities. Many of my peers come to me for advice as to how their argument might be augmented as well as what word would be better used in this instance, etc. I would not be nearly as confident in my abilities had so many people opted to go elsewhere for literary advice. swimming I have been on a competitive swim team for over six years (in which I was the top swimmer in my district and event for two years), I have played water polo for one year, and I have taken many swimming lessons as a child. I love the water, and can often be found in a pool when the situation allows.
