About Gurwinder:

I am currently a full time medical student at George Washington University School of Medicine and tutor as a part-time job. I live in Centreville, VA. I graduated with a Biomedical Engineering degree from Northwestern University in June 2005.

I was the valedictorian of my high school and tutored in high school in many subjects including math and science. In college, I was part of the Engineering Facilitating Workshop in which I assisted 7-8 students through a set of problems each week in Engineering Analysis. I did that for a year in college. Other than that, unofficially, I have also tutored some of my friends in college right now. Not only do I help the student excel academically in the subject that I am tutoring them in, but I also help create a motivation for the student to work harder.

I can be a good role model for students to look upto and know that anything is possible. I come from a family in which noone has gone to college. My brother and I were the first ones to attend college and now I am also pursuing a post-graduate degree. I am proud of who I am and how far I have come and want to help motivate others to do the same.
