My name is Michael. I'm 23 and graduated from Brown University in May 2007. I grew up in Olean, 75 miles south of Buffalo, and was Valedictorian of a class of 170. On the SATs, I received a 1420 (710 Math, 710 Verbal). At Brown, I had a 3.73 overall GPA and my sophomore-senior year I had a 3.88 GPA. Enough numbers and grades.
I am passionate about teaching. I took on a job as a teacher at the Wheeler School in Providence, RI my senior year and fell in love with teaching. I taught 3rd-8th grades, helped a 9 year old develop an independent research project, and was a part time librarian. I am currently a substitute teacher at various Buffalo area schools. Additionally, I do No Child Left Behind tutoring for low-income students. I am very relaxed and easy going and almost always am in a good mood. I love meeting new people and enjoy teaching, so tutoring is a natural for me. Additionally, I am very into music (especially alt rock and classic rock), going to the gym, football, and traveling the world. My schedule can be quite flexible and I am willing to tutor even at odd hours.
