Julienne: |
|
Hello, my name is Julienne. I grew up in a small town with one stop light (Elizabethtown, PA). In high school, I swam for Lancaster Aquatic Club and was highly involved in my high school extra curricular activities. I was in the Marching Band, Band, Pep Band, Chorus, Orchestra, Symphony, Students Against Drunk Driving, Varsity Club, and National Honor Society. I was also named Lancaster County’s Teen of the Week my senior year. As a senior in high school, I was accepted into the following colleges: United States Naval, Military and Air Force Academy as well as Purdue. I decided to go to the United States Air Force Academy and swam on the varsity swim team all four years as well as being involved in the Department of Engineering Mechanics Counsel. During this time I was a finalist all four years in the Mountain West Conference Championships in distance freestyle events as well as being named MWC’s Swimmer of the Week. Since graduating from the Academy with a BS in Engineering Mechanics, I have been working at Hanscom AFB in Bedford as a program manager in charge of computer integration projects. Currently, I am enrolled in a prestigious internship within the Education With Industry program working for Sun Microsystems as a software program manager. I also just completed 50% of my MBA program with University of Maryland. In my free time I like to run and be outside. |

Hello, my name is Julienne White and I have been swimming competively for 20 years. I started swimming with Lancaster Acquatic Club and continued swimming with this team during high school and on college breaks. I was a Swimming All-American in high school and also qualified for USS Junior Nationals my sophmore, junior and senior year of high school in the 1650yd freestyle. I also taught swimming lessons in the summers during high school.
In college I swam for the United States Air Force Academy and earned spots on several of their all-time top ten best times lists in the 100, 200, 500,1000 and 1650 freestyle. Although I excelled in freestyle, I am very confident in butterfly, backstroke and breastroke.
This year I competed for the Air Force in the USAFE Air Component Command Competition. This swim meet is against all of the other Air Forces in Europe. During this meet, I won both of my events and set two international meet records which helped the US Air Force bring home the trophy!
