Lenny is an outstanding published writer, professional editor, and former college professor in English literature and composition. She graduated with honors (3.7 GPA) from the University of Virgina--one of the highest rated English departments in the nation and has a master's in English/creative writing from a highly selective program at Boston University (earned on complete scholarship). Her interests and expertise vary widely, from the arts, education, medicine,and children's literature to world, American,and contemporary literature. Her favorite writers are Jane Austen, Shakespeare, and Don Delilo. She has great ease in helping students understand their material and what they wish to say, taking into account different learning styles and tailoring her tutoring to suit the particular challenges a student is struggling with (and with continual positive feedback for what is working well). She is extremely personable and supportive in any assignment she takes on. Tutoring experience includes that at the high school and college level, with writing and editing experience at such institutions as the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and American University (both in the nation's capital). With a great love for her subject matter, she is also a professional actress and teacher of writing to children of all ages. She is a professional freelance writer and editor, currently working with graduate students and such corporations as Boeing.
