Once upon a time there lived a lad named Michael. Michael is the friendly sort of fellow who finds himself a natural born ambassador and teacher. He enjoys helping people live and learn how to communicate in a land not of their birth. Michael is an educated man having studied Education at Eastern Washington University and also the school of life as a business entrepreneur. He has taught ESL at Bellevue Community College in their Talk Time Program. Michael is fascinated with the diversity that comes from the cultural exchange. His lessons are fun and lighthearted using real life situations whenever appropriate and handy. |

Growing up I had several friends along the way from different places in the world including Japan, China, Viet Nam, England, Mexico and others. I enjoy learning how people live everyday life throughout the world and comparing it to the way I live. One of the first volunteering opportunities I had was tutoring ESL at BCC in their Talk Time Program. Usually I would have a group of 5-7 people all from different places in the world. It was interesting to work with multiple nationalities all learning English at the same time. Everything I have done in my life I have ended up teaching it to other people. Teaching is one of the roles I play in life.
