I'm a current graduate student at New York University studying cultural and visual studies. I received a B.S. in Communications and a minor in Business from Northwestern University. I have a strong background in both English and History, and have experience working with students in elementary, middle and high school. As a student, I took A.P. classes in English, European History, and U.S. History at one of the top college preparatory high schools in California. Additionally, I’m a huge sports fan and athlete. I played soccer in high school on the state level, and currently coach and play volleyball and play flag football in NY and in tournaments around the country. I also worked as a professional actor and can tutor all performing arts disciplines, as well as work with students on public speaking and presentation skills. I’m patient, creative and live for “ah ha” breakthrough moments. I come from a family of teachers and truly love working with students and discovering their true potential.

  I have played soccer for over 17 years. I played on a level 4 state champion team, and spent four years on a level 1 state traveling team in California. I also coached teams with players from age 6-16 for many years and hold an ACCYSL referee license.

  I have worked as a professional actor, director and choreographer both in and outside of New York City. I am a member of Actor's Equity and the Screen Actors Guild. I hold a theatre degree from Northwestern University. I have had training in straight theatre, musical theatre, directing, voice, movement, dance, and choreography. I have also had professional work in all these areas. I have worked in professional regional theatre houses as well as in film, most recently in the major motion picture "Across the Universe".

• volleyball

  I currently play volleyball in two leagues in NYC as well as play on a volleyball team that travels around the country to different tournaments. Additionally, I coach a team for one of the leagues. I am an all around player, however with a specialty for defense and serve as a top-level libero. I do feel comfortable teaching 4-2, 6-2, and 5-1 formations and can teach offense, defense, and overall game strategies.
