About

Ok, I probably can't (and shouldn't) teach you to sing underwater, but I am both an accomplished musician and swimmer.
At the age of seven I began swimming competitively as a member of the Omaha Swim Aquatics Club, coached by 1996 Olympic swim team manager, Jack Jackson. I was a member of both the 1998 and 2000 Nebraska state championship swim teams from Marian High School, and I spent two summers coaching 18-and-under swimming. I also taught Red Cross swim lessons at St. Mary's College in Omaha, NE.
In June of 2004, I graduated from Santa Clara University with a degree in theater and music, focusing specifically on classical vocal performance. My ear training, sight singing, and theory classes were taught by professors from The Walden School, a program based on the creative and organic use of the overtone series. After college I went on to receive my Masters in Sacred Music from the University of Notre Dame, graduating in May of 2007. I have performed five hour long, solo vocal recitals, and feel comfortable teaching both the musical and theatrical aspects of the stage. I have also played the piano since age 5, and currently work as the music director of a Catholic church in Lynn, MA, where I direct a youth choir. |

I began taking voice lessons in high school, focusing on classical and musical theater styles. I attended Santa Clara University for music, and graduated in 2004 with a degree in classical vocal performance and theater. After college I attend the University of Notre Dame, earning a degree in Sacred Vocal Music in May of 2007. While in graduate school I was the vocal coach for the Notre Dame Folk Choir, teaching lessons to roughly 20 students a week, some of which had never had formal lessons before. I have performed 5 solo vocal recitals and feel very comfortable teaching my craft.
