About
Andrea: |
|
I am 24 and a recent college graduate. I will be pursuing my Masters in Social Work and Ethnic Studies and Literature. I have tutored all ages from Kinder- College. I am passionate about my studies and am confident that I can help. My specialty is literature, poetry, fine arts, and creative writing. I am a laid back, goofy, fun but disciplined person.
If you are looking for a tutor that WILL help you in your studies and have fun doing so, then, I am the person you want.
Here's a free for Poetry:
If you mark a poem (stress unstress) read it aloud after...you know you marked it wrong if you being to sound Dutch.
I hope that this little excerpt doesn't sound like a singles ad. :P |

I went to college and graduated with a minor in fine arts and design. I have had all the beginning courses but most of my teaching was outside of school and through books and my own studies.
In lieu to learning outside of school I have done a total of eight shows in this past year, in the Denver Metro art scene, greatfully selling out five shows completely--- i truly am thankful for their support.
I have worked with and studied under some amazing artists. I have done comission work for stores, private business owners and private buyers. I have worked as a t-shirt designer for a friend's private clothing company. I love to draw, paint and photograph. My favorite would have to be painting, I like to get a little dirty and messy.
If you would like to see a blip of pictures off of my portfolio please feel free to go to:
the pictures are under the album "I like to Paint...tink!"

I have been playing the guitar for nine years now. I was taught by friends who have had extensive studying of the guitar and also have studied on my own. We had private lessons, for the first three years, that I was greatful to not be charged for. :)
I have led and been in a total of 4 bands throughout college and for church. I wouldn't say I could teach you how to be like Eric Clapton but I do have a solid foundation in the basics.
I have an even longer backround in percussion and drums. The rythmic side of guitar is something that easily came to me which helped when I'd often get the question, "how do you strum" from friends I would teach. I love music. I love to learn and I love conveying my passion for music to others.
I have my own guitar the only problem is is that I don't have extras for others. I am willing to share mine it just may be harder for them to learn and play along. I have a guitar tuner and a pretty good ear for pitch so it won't matter if the student's guitar hasn't been tuned in a while! :)
