Dear Sir or Madam:
In the summer of 2006 I volunteered at the Center for Autism and Related Disorders. I gained experience working with children and their challenges. I did research and took an active roll in their therapy. The following school year I interned at Cedar-Sinai Medical Center where we conducted studies on rats.
At present I am studying for the entrance exam to law school. I have to be able to articulate complicated concepts into simpler ones in order to address the questions on the exam. These skills help me to present and articulate ideas to children.
While in the Air Force I was promoted to a supervisory position. This gave me the experience to understand the needs of my subordinates and develop the patience required to lead a team. These are other assets I have utilized to improve my communication skills.
It is my goal to combine my range of experience with my ability to be a compassionate, enthusiastic, intelligent tutor who will make a positive contribution to you. I invite you to contact me and hope to hear from you at your earliest convenience.
Sincerely,
John
