About Amanda:

Hello! My name is Amanda and I have lived and worked in the Seattle area for 10 years. My experience tutoring has been in many arena's from mentoring others in Computer skills (Word, Excel, Databases, etc) and academic subjects like English, Psychology, Biblical Studies etc. to teaching Music and coaching tennis lessons.
I have worked with infants up to adults and really enjoy being a part of others growth and educational experiences.
I have a BA in communication (emphasis on public speaking)and a Masters degree in Industrial Organizational Psychology. I have also worked the past 4 years at a University institution and completely understand the demands of academic success.
I have traveled extensively in the United States, Costa Rica, Eastern Africa, Belize, Guatemala, etc. and find extreme value in multicultural experiences.
For fun I love to play sports including tennis, volleyball, snowboarding, dancing. I have been trained as a vocalist and I enjoy teaching others about music and its beauty of expression.
My teaching style would vary depending on age but I would approach all teaching and tutoring engagements with an understanding ear while attempting to empower.
