elementary (k-6th) Where elementary education is concerned, I have tutored in both in-classroom and outside of the classroom settings. I started an ESL program initiative on my college campus and tutored young students who spoke English as a Second Language. Not only that, but I read to children in the local library and have tutored young children in both reading and in Spanish. I have been babysitting for years and have also taught dance to kids. I have the utmost patience with the youngsters! ESL/ESOL In college, I started an ESL program initiative for the Waterville public schools. I organized and instructed over 20 tutors and tutored a Colombian boy and a Chinese girl in two different classrooms. proofreading For most of my life, I've assisted friends and family with the proof reading of their papers, college essays, Spanish writing, and DBQs (document-based questions). I enjoy proofing for history classes, language classes, and English classes. study skills I pride myself on my organizational skills and study habits. I have learned various methods of studying that have helped me through the years and that I feel would help others as well. These methods include but are not limited to: outline writing, flashcards, sing-song/rhyming, word association, and how to select important, pertinent information in text. I am great at helping students stay organized and find methods that work best for them to learn by.
