I am a professional teacher, English Language and Literature, with a minor in History of Art. Born in Romania, I emigrated to Israel at the age a 19. Then again to the United States at age 26. However teaching was not my first job, since I did not have an American Teacher Certificate, so I worked in manufacturing :night vision opto-electronic quality control and environmental test. How does that make me a great tutor? Well, if you add good communication skills, several foreign languages and technical abilities, you know you can ask me about a lot more than just...the "subject at hand", of course within the limits of good taste and mutual respect.
I taught English literature, grammar and composition, writing and research skills, as well as English as a second language to adults.

  I was involved with ORT Technical Institute in Chicago for five years. I taught Polish, Russian, Ukrainian, Romanian, Bulgarian, Iraqi and Lithuanian students. I taught levels 0 - 5. I emigrated from Romania, and I have lived in America for 30 years. I enjoy helping other immigrants gain a command of the language.   I have been teaching English Language and grammar and composition classes for a number of years now. As both a middle school teacher and a high school teacher, the mechanics of good writing have been one of the reccuring themes in our classes. I often had worked with the high risk student population: alternative schools, Indian Reservation high school, so an emphasis on grammar was required.
